How to tell the age of a WEG Drive from its nameplate?

A range of information can be found on a WEG Nameplate, including its manufacturing date to allow you to identify the age of the drive. The manufacturing date includes two numbers and a letter. The two numbers are the week of manufacture and the letter represents the year.

The year follows the sequence: A = 2004, B = 2005, C = 2006 and so on, according to a WEG internal standard.

Figure 1 shows the different parts of a nameplate and what information corresponds to this.

In figure 1, the manufacturing date is 03H. This would mean that the drive was manufactured on the 3rd week of the year 2011.
